Prayer to the Moon

With her feet submerged in the calm waters of the sea,
at the fragile boundary between earth and infinity,

She looks up at the sky.

Before her, the moon reigns, immense,
with an almost unreal clarity.
It illuminates the night with a sovereign gentleness,
bathing the world in a white, silent light.

She prays, or perhaps whispers a secret,
a plea, a surrender.
Her gesture is simple, yet imbued with eternity.

The water reflects the moonlight,
like a trembling mirror between sky and depth,
and seems to carry her prayer beyond words.

In this suspended scene,
time disappears.
All that remains is an intimate dialogue
between shadow and light,
between the human and the celestial.

This painting evokes a quest, a quiet faith, and that universal need to look up to something greater when the heart seeks solace.
