Contemplation

She stands there, motionless,
clad in a crimson dress,
a parasol resting like a breath above her.

All around, everything is warmth.
The hill, the grass, the air itself seem bathed
in a sea of orange hues,
as if the whole world had allowed itself to be permeated
by the evening light.

The sun sets slowly,
setting the sky ablaze with a gentle fire,
neither scorching nor fierce,
but enveloping, almost maternal.

At the top of the hill,
a tree with red foliage stands watch,
Intense, vibrant,
like a beating heart in this incandescent landscape.

She  gazes at the horizon,
silent, present,
as if suspended between what is ending
and what is already beginning.

Her crimson dress catches the last glimmers of the day,
blending them with the earth and the sky,
in a profound harmony of warm colours.

This painting is an ode to the end of the day, to those moments when everything slows down, when light becomes a memory, and when we gaze, unreservedly, at the beauty of what is fading away.
