Merger

As evening falls,
when the sky hesitates between shadow and light,
a tree stands watch in silence.

In the tranquil breath of twilight,
the moon casts its pale veil
over the peaceful earth.

But this tree is not quite a tree,
its trunk whispers another story:
two bodies entwined,
a man, a woman,
entwined like an ancient promise.

Their faces brush against one another,
forehead to forehead,
eyes closed to the world,
open to another realm.

They do not speak,
their silences intertwine,
their breaths merge,
and from their embrace the wood is born,
life rises.

Their arms become roots,
their movements become branches,
and in this motionless gesture
the invisible flows.

All around, the world holds its breath.
Not a sound,
not a tremor,
only peace,
deep, unbroken.

In the fragile light of the moon,
they are no longer two,
but a single beat,
a single presence,
a single essence.
